Jones Bel Air Subaru Donates over $23,000 to The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation

On April 11th, 2016, as part of the Subaru Share the Love charity program, Brian Kirby and the Jones for a Cause team proudly presented The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation with a check for over $23,000 in support their Cancer LifeNet program.

The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation supports the mission of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) through developing relationships with local citizens and organizations who wish to take part in the expansion and improvement of healthcare services provided in Harford County. Through the work of the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, the community supports the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, the University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital, The Kaufman Cancer Center and the Senator Bob Hooper House through philanthropic gifts, planned giving, participation in fundraising events and volunteerism.

Jay Young, Chair of the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation stated, “We are grateful for a partnership with Bel Air Subaru, its owners and our community for supporting Subaru’s Share the Love Campaign in support of our Cancer LifeNet program.” Cancer LifeNet is funded through philanthropy and serves more than 1,500 residents of Harford County and their loved ones in providing navigation in support services for those who are battling cancer in our community.

Bryan Kilby, one of the owners of Bel Air Subaru who serves as the Treasurer for the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation said “This partnership is a critical one for our community… The Share the Love Campaign is another example of how Harford County friends and neighbors support those in need.”

Bel Air Subaru finished second in the DC Zone in total donations to their hometown charity and in the past two years has made gifts totaling nearly $50,000 in support of Cancer LifeNet.

A special thank you to all those who have supported Jones’ efforts to give back to the community and help fight cancer in our community.
